Bengaluru November 1, 2016: Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair-2016 (HSSF) ಹಿಂದೂ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವಾ ಮೇಳ -2016in Karnataka is being organised from December 14th to 18th, 2016 at National High School Grounds, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru. This will be the second edition of Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair-2016 in Karnataka, the last year’s event was held at same venue from December 9 to 13, 2015.

Adrressing a Press Conference in The Capitol Hotel in Bengaluru, eminent economist and Founding Organiser of HSSF, S Gurumurthy said “Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair intends to provide a platform for spiritual and service organisations and also to motivate, involve the public to be part of the process of social transformation.”.

Eminent scientist and Former ISRO Chairman Dr Kasturirangan will be the Chairperson of the reception committee. At the Press Meet, Dr Kasturirangan, TV Mohandas Pai, Murali Malayappan, MP Kumar and Sridhar Sagar were present on the dias.

HSSF-2016 Reception Committee members Dr R Vaidyanathan, Dr AN Yellappa Reddy, Dr Vijayalakshmi Balekundri, Dr Geetha Ramanujam, Dr Mohan, Dr MK Sridhar, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah Seva Pramukh Gunavanth Sing Kothari and others were present during the Press Conference.

This mega 5-day conclave will have more than 250 Hindu Socio-religious Service institutions from across Karnataka showcasing their various service activities by setting up stalls. Various cultural and spiritual programs is planned on all 5 days. The fair is expected to attract over 3 lakh citizens of Bengaluru and nearby districts. Students from over 100 educational institutions taking part in various competitions organised as a part of the Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair.

The event is being organised by Hindu Spiritual and Service Foundation, Bengaluru with 6 themes as focus. They are;

  1. Conserve Forest and Protect
  2. Wildlife Preserve Ecology
  3. Sustain Environment
  4. Inculcate Family and  Human values
  5. Foster Women’s Honour                            
  6. Instil Patriotism

Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair will be inaugurated on December 14th, 2016 at 5.00pm in the august presence of  Pujya Sri Sri Ravishankar Guruji, Pujya Sri Shivaratrishwara Swamiji of Sutturu Math, Pujya Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Math, Pujya Dr. Veerendra Heggade of Dharmasthala, Sri Mukyagranti of Bidar and and few other Swamiji’s of prominent Mathas of Karnataka. Eminent economist and columnist Sri S Gurumurthy will deliver the Keynote address.

At the Fair, in line with culture and etho’s of this great nation and the 6 theme’s of the fair, there will be special programs on every day between 11AM to 12.30PM like Rashtra Vandana ( Decemebr 15th ) with more than 5,000 college students participating , Maatru Vandana  on December 16th in the presence of 1,000 families, Bhoomi Vandana on Dec 17th with 2,000 farmers from near-by villages and Kutumbha Vandana on December 18th will see more than 300 individual nuclear families participating with their siblings as Undivided families.

As a part of this Fair, There will be Intellectual Seminars to be held on each day on a specific socio-religious issue, in which eminent scholars, intellectuals, students will participate.

December 14: Inauguration

December 15: Rashtra Vandana

December 16: Matru Vandana

December 17: Bhoomi Vandana

December 18: Kutumba Vandana and Valedictory.

Events on Each Day:

  • More than 250 stalls showcasing the various service activities by Hindu Socio-religious Service institutions of Karnataka.
  • Cultural Programs by well-known artists, by various service organisations, also by College Students of various colleges of Bengaluru.
  • Intellectual Seminars to be held on each day on a specific socio-religious issue.
  • Several Desi Games and other Competitions for School Students.

Pre-Fair Activities:

  • Also as part of the pre-fair activities, to promote awareness about the ecological conservation a unique event ‘Parisara Vandana’ will be held on November 09, 2016 at Spurthy international school, Bengaluru  with students from nearby schools participating.
  • To promote the spirit of Conservation Indigenous Cows, a special event named ‘Gou Vandana’ will be held  on November  12, 2016 at Dakshina Ayodhya Rama temple – Kacharakanahalli, North Bengalur.
  • To promote the enthusiasm on our ancient heritage, culture and legacy, several past and present apsects of our nation, A mega On-line ‘Dharma Quiz’ for school students is being organised is already in progress in which thousands of students are participating in our website quiz.hssfbengaluru.in , the last date is being on November 14, 2016.
  • To promote the spirit of Together We Serve, a mega ‘Walkathon’ event is organised on December 14, 2016 from Dodda Ganapati Temple Premises to National High School Grounds, in which thousands of Citizens will participate.

There will be several cultural programs by various service organisations throughout the day and special cultural events in the evening by well-known artists from across Karnataka.
