August 16, 2019, Bengaluru: On the auspicious occasion of Hindu festival “Raksha Bandhan”, Rashtra Sevika Samiti sevikas of Durga shakha in Bengaluru took the opportunity of visiting Rashtriya Army Police Training Center at Bengaluru and tied Rakhi to 200 soldiers as gesture of gratitude for their service to the nation.
Brig. RajKumar had granted the permission for the celebration and made the experience memorable for Sevikas. Officer Mr. Nayar took the charge of the event and organized the celebration in a disciplined manner.
Sevikas introduced the purpose of their visit, Samiti ideology and read the message of Vandaneeya Pramukh Sanchaalikaa – Maananeeya Shantakkaji written on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. There was huge round of applause by everyone.
Sevikas tied rakhis to the young trainees who were in uniform and had pleasant interaction with each one of them. Every soldier shared their feelings and respect as a token of appreciation to the samiti sisters.
After the celebrations, Brig. Rajkumar showed his gratitude by giving sweets and wished the best to all the sevikas. Trainee soldiers had prepared snacks and was provided to specials for their gesture of tying rakhis. ‘It was indeed a proud moment to meet the trainee brothers who soon would be the protectors of our mother land’ said an excites Sevika.
