Vishwa Samvad Kendra (VSK) (Here after referred to as “Samvada ಸಂವಾದ / Samvada/ We/Our) is a media house working in the field of MEDIA both print and electronic included-related multidimensional activities. Apart from pooling and disseminating news, it is active in organizing seminars and symposia on subjects of national and social importance, analyzing contemporary events, interviewing social leaders and thinkers, furnishing studied feature articles by eminent column writers, organizing reorientation programme for promising young journalists, providing guidance to those interested in the art of letter writing for the editor’s mail and in creating forums of TV viewers etc to mention a few activities for your information.
When in late eighties, the Ayodhya movement was the hot topic for a worldwide debate, Vishwa Hindu Parishat, Which was in the forefront of the agitation, initiated Samvada to provide authentic and Latest information of the development to the media persons thronged at the spot from all over the world for covering the event. The three units of Samvada set up one at Faizabad, the district headquarter of Ayodhya. Another at Lucknow the state capital and a third one at Delhi, the national capital. With well equipped mass communication arrangements and networking, served well in accordance with the purpose for which they were established also became popular and much appreciated spot of visit for the media persons for all the latest and updated information they received there. After 1992 though its temporary relevance was lost, with the acquitted experience in the field to its credit, Samvada continued its mission independently making its field of activities multidimensional and base widened.
With regard to Samvada, I call your attention to the report we published, submitted by the Fact Finding committee for the Kanak Gopur Controversy at Udupi a few years back. As you know very issue died down after its publication, Again I hope you remember the day-long seminar on ‘Hindutva and Media’ organized by Samvada at Bengaluru a few years back in 2006 with a number of luminaries in media, sharing their diverse views with an open mind from the same platform.

80ರ ದಶಕದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಸೆಳೆದ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಯ ರಾಮಜನ್ಮಭೂಮಿ ಮಂದಿರ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಜನಾಂದೋಲನದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋರಾಟದ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ವಿಶ್ವ ಹಿಂದು ಪರಿಷತ್ತು ದೇಶವಿದೇಶಗಳ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕೃತ (authentic) ಮತ್ತು ಅದ್ಯತನ (latest) ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಂವಹನದ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಸಲಕರಣೆಗಳಿಂದ ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸಿ ವಿಶ್ವ ಸಂವಾದ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಫೈಜಾಬಾದ್ (ಅಯೋಧ್ಯಾ ಇರುವ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ) ಲಖ್ನೋ (ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ) ಮತ್ತು ದೆಹಲಿ (ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ) ಈ ಮೂರು ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಜಾಲ (network) ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ವಿಸಂಕೇದ ಘಟಕಗಳು ಆಗಿನ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದುದಲ್ಲ್ಲದೆ, ಅದರ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಶ್ವದಾದ್ಯಂತದಿಂದ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತು. ೧೯೯೨ರ ನಂತರ ಅದರ ತಾತ್ಕಲಿಕ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತತೆ ಕೊನೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದುದು ಸಹಜ. ಆದರೆ ಆಗಲೇ ತಾನು ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದ ಅನುಭವ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಪರಿಚಯವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ, ಬದಲಾದ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ವಿಶಾಲಗೊಳಿಸಿ ವಿಸಂಕೇವು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿತು.
ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ದೇಶದ ಎಲ್ಲ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ರಾಜಧಾನಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಸಂಕೇದ ಘಟಕಗಳದ್ದು ಅವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿರುವ ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಒಂದು ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಂಗಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಕೆಲಸ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ, ವ್ಯಾವಹಾರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸಹ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಘಟಕವಾಗಿದೆ.
ವಿಸಂಕೇ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಘಟಕವು ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಕನಕಗೋಪುರ ವಿವಾದದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯಶೋಧನ ಸಮಿತಿ ವರದಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಸ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಪ್ರಸಾರದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಅನಗತ್ಯದ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ವಿರಸಕ್ಕೆಡೆಯಾಗದೆ, ವಿವಾದವು ಶಾಂತಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದುದು ಈಗ ಇತಿಹಾಸ. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ೨೦೦೬ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ರಂಗದ ಹಲವು ಖ್ಯಾತನಾಮ ದಿಗ್ಗಜರನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ವೇದಿಕೆಗೆ ಕರೆದು ತಂದು ’ಹಿಂದುತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ’ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ದಿನದ ವಿಚಾರಗೋಷ್ಠಿ ನಡೆಸಿದುದು ಸಹ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖನೀಯವಾದುದು.
