Summary of Annual report presented by RSS Sarakaryavah (General Secretary) Sri Suresh Joshi

It is but natural to remember all those great personalities who awakened the spirit of affection, feeling of commitment to one’s duty and total devotion to goals and ideals dear to all of us; but who are no more with us.

Respected Kalidas ji Basu, a renowned legal luminary, a great pillar of strength for Sangh work from its inception in Bengal, Parampoojneeya Shankaracharya of Karveer Peeth (Kolhapur) Vidyashankar Bharati, who departed from this material world,  A great poet Shri Uttam Muley who had made a place for himself with his impressive writings in Dalit literature and contributed greatly to maintain harmony and co-operative spirit in the society; great singer, Eternally shining Sun of music, Bharat Ratna Pandit Bhimsen Joshi left behind his musical voice for us and passed into eternity, leader of Desh Bhachao movement, a person who could arouse unrivalled support for Swadeshi movement, Shri Rajeev Dikshit was snatched away from us by cruel fate in prime of his life, resident of Gorakhpur and former Governor, Shri Mahavir Prasad, top leader of Congress Shri Karunakarn, as also Shri Ishwarbhai Patel who worked in the field of sewa and social harmony with inspiration from Mahatma Gandhiji completed their live’s journeys.

We express our deep condolences for our brethren who departed from this world due to accidents that took place during Sabarimala yatra and natural disasters, or died due to violence perpetrated by terrorists and Naxalites, and we pay our homage to noble departed souls.

Overview of Activities

Sangh training camp for freshers called Prathamik Shiksha Vard of last season was attended by 63741 swayamsevaks from 24530 places. Higher training camps ‘ Sangha Shiksha Varga’ was  attended by 15000 selected RSS karyakartas.

As per information available, at present 39908 shakhas are active in 27078 places all over Bharat. Sangh work is also going on through 7990 Saptahik Milans (Weekly get-togethers) and 6431 Sangh Mandalis at different places in Bharat.

The core message in the tours undertaken at zonal level by Parampoojaneeya  Sarsanghchalak was about ‘karyakarta’. During the tours of other A.B. adhikaris under programmes organized at national level, constructive discussions were held about work among College students, growth at ‘Nagar’ level and quality of work.

A special camp was held for College students and other young swayamsevaks in Merut, 2247 participants from all over the state. Camp participants expressed firm resolve about issues like Water management, environment, blood donation, eye donation etc.

Samajik Kumbh Mela

Narmada Samajik Kumbh mela was organized at Mandla region of Madhya Pradesh, in which nearly 30lakh Hindus were participated. People from from Central India belongs to 300 districts, 800 castes, were integrated in this Kumbh Mela. Eeping aside caste, creed and language. A programme was chalked out that each Karyakarta would contact a minimum of 20 households and get support for the kumbh in form of one kg rice, half a kg of pulses and donation of One rupee.  They contacted 502674 families.

Flood Relief works at North Karnataka:

Floods in North Karnataka last year resulted in destruction of large number of villages and displacement of thousands of families. Relief material for 180 villages with the help of 2400 swayamsevaks was arranged immediately. It was resolved to build 1680 homes in 9 villages for rehabilitation under the auspices of ‘Sewa Bharati’. So far, 130 houses have been handed over in 2 Villages.  Handing over ceremony of houses in Sabbalahunasi village of Bagalkot dist. was done at the hands of Poojaneeya Sudarshanji in the presence of Shri Govind Karnol Minister of Karnataka state government.

Almost one million, to be more exact 10,58,438 citizens were participated in Mass Dharna protest organized on November 10, 2010 against the attempts to tarnish the image of RSS.. At a short notice, success of programme shows the feelings within the society about the subject.

National Scenario

Decision on Ram Janmabhoomi by Allahabad High Court

Decision handed down by Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court on 30^th September is an acceptance of the faith and belief of Crores of Hindus. Legal system of our country has not only kept their feelings in mind but has based its decision on all the facts available to it in this regard, thus respecting the sentiments of the people. Now, there is a need to pass a law in the Parliament with consensus of all law makers to clear the way for temple construction.

Terrorism

Thousands of innocent people, police and military personnel have been killed mercilessly during the continued Jihadi terrorism in last two decades.  National security is sought to be destructed time and again.  But, it is unfortunate that anti-Hindu forces in our country are trying to weaken the efforts to counter Jihadi terrorism by labeling the Hindu community as terrorist by citing a few incidents.

Instead of assuring security to patriotic Hindu organizations, holy saints and centres of faith of Hindu society, these people are trying to create confusion about these forces in the minds of common people. With a selfish urge to remain in power or capture power, policies are being framed to pander to some communities while closing eyes to the anti-national and terrorist forces.

Kashmir Issue

Few  political are strengthening the forces of separatism directly or indirectly to fulfill their vested political interests. Separatist forces are engaged in anti-Bharat propaganda by organizing seminars in capital city of Delhi and other cities.

The real truth is that these anti-Bharat agitations are limited to only 5 out of 22 districts of Jammu-Kashmir. Gujjars, Bakarwals, Shias, Kashmiri Sikhs and Pandits, various refugee groups in Jammu, Dogras, Buddhists and nationalist Muslims are not part of this separatist movement.

Keeping in mind the activities across the border, only solution to achieve this is abrogation of article 370, system of separate constitution and separate flag be scrapped and treating it like any other state. The right solution to this problem is to establish a sense of one country – on people – one nation.

Corruption: A Challenge

Various studies expose the terrible extent of corruption. Increasing consumerism has led to lust for self-aggrandizement, resulting in urge to accumulate wealth through unethical and illegal means. This is the root cause of this problem of corruption.  There is a strong tendency to misuse constitutional positions. We are witnessing devastation of constitutional system due to this mentality. Unfortunately, there are question marks about the safety of the people who are opposing this and trying to clean up the system.

Increasing support from the common people to agitations being organized by different groups and organizations gives us a clear indication about the public opinion in this regard.

We undertake a critical appraisal of our Sangh work even as we review the current social and political scenario from time to time. This is how we traditionally work. Keeping in mind the challenges that we face and expectations of the society, we have to increase our velocity and strength in a sustained manner. It is necessary for us to keep focus on strengthening our organization and systems and increasing the strength of our karyakartas.

ವಿಚಾರ, ಆದರ್ಶಗಳ ಈ ಯಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಗಿದ್ದ ಈಗ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನಗಲಿರುವ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಮಹಾಮಹಿಮರನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುವುದು ಸಹಜವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಬಂಗಾಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆಧಾರಸ್ತಂಭದಂತಿದ್ದ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದಿ ಕಾಳಿದಾಸ ಬಸು, ಕೊಲ್ಹಾಪುರದ ಕರವೀರ ಪೀಠದ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿದ್ಯಾಶಂಕರ ಭಾರತಿ, ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ದಲಿತ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯದ ವಿಚಾರ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಕರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಉತ್ತಮ್ ಮುಳೆ, ಸಂಗೀತರಂಗದ ಅಭಿಜಾತ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ ಭೀಮ್‌ಸೇನ್ ಜೋಷಿ, ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ಆಂದೋಲನದ ಹರಿಕಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದ ರಾಜೀವ್ ದೀಕ್ಷಿತ್, ನಿವೃತ್ತ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮಹಾವೀರ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್, ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನೇತಾರ ಕರುಣಾಕರನ್, ಖ್ಯಾತ ಗಾಂಧೀವಾದಿ ಈಶ್ವರಭಾಯಿ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅಗಲಿದ ಅನೇಕ ಚೇತನಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ ಸಭೆ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾಂಜಲಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದೆ. ಶಬರಿಮಲೆ ಯಾತ್ರೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅನೇಕ ದುರಂತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಡಿದವರು, ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರ, ನಕ್ಸಲೀಯರ ಆಕ್ರಮಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಣ ತೆತ್ತ ದೇಶವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಭೆ ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದೆ.

ಹೊಸ ಪೀಳಿಗೆ

ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಾ ವರ್ಗ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವ ೭ ದಿನಗಳ ಸಂಘದ ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದವರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ೬೩,೦೦೦ ದಾಟಿದೆ. ಸಂಘ ಕಾರ್ಯದ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆಗೆ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಹೊಸ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯವರು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಗಲು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಈ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯು ಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ವಿವಿಧ ಹಂತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಸಂಘದ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದವರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ೧೫,೦೦೦ ದಾಟಿದೆ.

ದೇಶದ ೨೭,೦೭೮ ಗ್ರಾಮ – ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸಂಘದ ೩೯,೯೦೮ ಶಾಖೆಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ವಾರಕ್ಕೊಮ್ಮೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ೭,೯೯೦ ಮಿಲನ್‌ಗಳು, ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ೬,೪೩೧ ಸಂಘ ಮಂಡಳಿಗಳು ಇವೆ.

ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಸರಸಂಘಚಾಲಕರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪ್ರವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರ ಗುಣವಿಕಾಸದ ಕಡೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಗಮನಕೊಟ್ಟು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಮೀರತ್ ಪ್ರಾಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಕಾಲೇಜು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ’ಚೈತನ್ಯ ಶಿಬಿರ’ ಸಂಘ ಯುವ ಜನತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿಯಾಗಿಸುವತ್ತ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ. ೨,೨೦೦ಕ್ಕೂ ಮಿಕ್ಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಈ ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಲ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ, ಪರಿಸರ, ರಕ್ತದಾನ, ನೇತ್ರದಾನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾನಸಿಕತೆ ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಕುಂಭಮೇಳ                                                                                       ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಮಾಂಡ್ಲಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದ ತಿಂಗಳಷ್ಟೆ ನಡೆದ ನರ್ಮದಾ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕುಂಭಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ೩೦ ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹಿಂದುಗಳು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಧ್ಯ ಭಾರತದ ೩೦೦ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ೮೦೦ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನ ಜಾತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಜನ ಎಲ್ಲ ಭೇದ-ಭಾವಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ಸಮ್ಮಿಳಿತರಾದದ್ದು ಹಿಂದು ಸಮಾಜದ ಸಂಘಟಿತ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ದ್ಯೋತಕವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕುಂಭಮೇಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂರ್ವಭಾವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಮಹಾಕೋಶಲ ಪ್ರಾಂತದ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಜನ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಅಭಿಯಾನದ ಮೂಲಕ ೫ ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ೧ ಕೆಜಿ ಅಕ್ಕಿ, ೧/೨ ಕೆಜಿ ಧಾನ್ಯ, ೧ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ದೇಣಿಗೆ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಕುಂಭಮೇಳದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ                                                                               ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಜನತೆ ಉಕ್ಕಿ ಹರಿದ ನದಿಗಳ ಪ್ರವಾಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಲುಕಿದಾಗ ತಕ್ಷಣ ೨,೪೦೦ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಧಾವಿಸಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಧುಮುಕಿದರು. ಸಮಾಜ ಬಂಧುಗಳ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಸೇವಾಭಾರತಿ ೯ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಪುನರ್ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ  ತೊಡಗಿದ್ದು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ೨ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ೧೩೦ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕರವೀರಪೀಠದ ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಗುಜರಾತಿನ ನವಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ೫ ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನಿರಂತರ ಪಾದಯಾತ್ರೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ೨೦ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ೪ ಸಾವಿರದಷ್ಟು ವನವಾಸಿ ಬಂಧುಗಳ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಕಳೆದ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ ೨೬ರಂದು ’ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರ ವಿಲೀನ ದಿನ’ವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಸಂಘ ಕರೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ ದೇಶದಾದ್ಯಂತ ೨,೪೯೧ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ನಡೆದಿವೆ.

’ಹಿಂದು ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದನೆ’ ಆರೋಪದ ದುಷ್ಟ ರಾಜನೀತಿಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದೇಶದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ನಡೆದ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನಾ ಧರಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡವರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ೧೦ ಲಕ್ಷ ದಾಟಿದೆ. ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದ  ಜಬ್ಬಲ್ಪುರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಧರಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ೨೫ ಸಾವಿರ ಜನತೆ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.

ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶ                                                                           ದೇಶ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶವು ಗಂಭೀರತೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದೆ. ರಾಮಜನ್ಮಭೂಮಿ ಕುರಿತಾದ ಅಲಹಾಬಾದ್ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟಿನ ತೀರ್ಪು ಜನಮಾನಸವನ್ನು ಬಿಂಬಿಸಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಂಸತ್ತು ಜನಾಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಯಿದೆಯ ರೂಪ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಮಂದಿರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ದಾರಿ ಸುಗಮಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.

ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ  ಜಿಹಾದಿ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದನೆ, ದೇಶದ ಅಖಂಡತೆ ಸವಾಲಿನೆದುರು ಆಡಳಿತಯಂತ್ರ ದುರ್ಬಲಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಒಂದೆಡೆಯಾದರೆ, ಇನ್ನೊಂದೆಡೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸಾಧನೆಗಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದು ನಾಯಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದನೆಯ ಗೂಬೆ ಕೂರಿಸಲು ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಸಾಹಸ ಪಡುತ್ತಿದೆ

ಜಮ್ಮು-ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರದ ೨೨ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ಕೇವಲ ೫ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಬಲ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇಡೀ ಜಮ್ಮು ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರವೇ ಭಾರತ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಲು ತಯಾರಿರುವಂತೆ ಬಿಂಬಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರದ ದುರ್ಬಲ ರಾಜನೀತಿ, ನಿರ್ದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗದ ಹೊಣೆಗೇಡಿತನ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯ ಉಲ್ಬಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ

ಮಿತಿ ಮೀರಿದ ಕೊಳ್ಳುಬಾಕತನ, ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೀತಿ -ನಿಯತ್ತು ಗಾಳಿಗೆ ತೂರುವ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಮೂಲಕಾರಣ. ಸಂವಿಧಾನಬದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದುರುಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಮಾಮೂಲಾಗಿದೆ. ನೀತಿ ನಿರೂಪಕರು, ಅರ್ಥಿಕ ತಜ್ಞರು, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಚಿಂತಕರು ಈ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ, ಕಪ್ಪುಹಣದ ನಿಗ್ರಹದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತೀವ್ರ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.

ಈಗಿನ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ, ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಅವಲೋಕನದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಂಘಕಾಂiiದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ನಾವಿಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ವರ್ತಮಾನದ ಆತಂಕ, ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಲು ಸಂಘಕಾರ್ಯದ ವೇಗ ಮತ್ತು ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
