Bhagyanagar, October 3, 2013: Stunned & shocked at unnecessary reference to Temples while speaking about Toilets by BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate & Gujarat CM Shri Narendra Modi ji, VHP condemned the statement by Shri Modi ji, said a press release.
VHP International Working President Dr Pravin Togadia said, “While we believe in the need for better hygiene for all in Bharat, bringing in Temples in the statement & putting Toilets ahead of Temples was uncalled for & is an insult to the Hindu society. When the Congress leader Shri Jayaram Ramesh had made such a statement comparing Toilets& Temples, BJP had condemned his statement. We expect BJP to do the same in their Prime Ministerial candidate’s statement not only comparing toilets with temples but putting toilets ahead of temples.”
