Kaluburgi Karnataka Ocober 2: Swadeshi Jagaran Manch hold a massive protest Dharana against FDI proposed by central government. SJM Karnataka started Traders awakening programme on Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and Lalbhaddur Jayanti.
Similar protests against FDI were held in various parts of Karnataka. There was a hunger-strike protest was held at Chennai, in which S Gurumurthy and other prominent leaders participated, said reports.
‘FDI not only creates unemployment, unrest among traders but also changes life style of common man. It breaks backbone Indian trading activity. SJM starts to educating the general public and traders in particular’ said a senior SJM office bearer.
RSS Vibhag Pracharak Raghunandan, Pranth Bouddhik Pramukh Krishna Joshi spoke during the occasion, demanded govt to withdraw the FDI proposal. Mahadevayya Karadalli State Co Convenor of SJM, Shanthappa Hosgoudar District Convenor, Ganpatrao Humnabe City Convenor, HanumanthaRao Algudkar Convenor Gulbarga North CN Sri Babalgaon Gulbarga South Convenor, Umakanth Nigudagi, President HKCCI , Prominent Traders of the city, Vinay Shah, Suresh Bulbule, Shanthakumar Bilagundi were extended their support. Economics Lecturer Manik Kulkarni, , Sri Rajsekhar Patil , Sri Sudhakar addressed the gathering.
