New Delhi: Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram has decided to form women committees in all 314 Vanvasi districts by the year 2013. Addressing a meeting of the Kalyan Ashram women activists in Tatanagar, Kalyan Ashram organising secretary Shri Somyajulu said the Kalyan Ashram is celebrating this year (2011) as Sports Year and would observe the next year as Shakti Sanchay Varsh.
He said the year 2013 would see the celebration of Kalyan Ashram’s founder Balasaheb Deshpande’s birth centenary on large scale. The meeting which was inaugurated by Kalyan Ashram joint general secretary Shri Kripa Prasad Singh on July 19 concluded on July 22. Smt Madhvi Joshi, Mahila Pramukh, Smt Ranjana Karandikar and Veena Pani Das Sharma, both Sah Pramukh also addressed the meeting in different sessions.
