Simlapal –  Bankura West Bengal July 21: Kalyan Ashram Kolkata organised organised 2-day medical camp on 19 and 20th July 2014 in Simlapal and Ranibandh Blocks of Bankura district.

On 19th the camp was in Butsahar village about 25 Km from Garhbeta station deep into forest area where 450 patients mostly tribal were provided medical services and treatments. 53 patients were identified with eyesight problem for whom spectacles will be send in about 20-30 days. 44 Patients were identified with Cataract and other eye problems needing surgery or advance treatments. These patients will be brought to kolkata on 28th July for surgery and treatment.
On 20th The camp was in Nachana tribal village 10 km from Ranibandh once again in deep forest with picturesque landscape.
No of patient 390, 48 Specs, 32 Eye Surgery.
In both places about 10 children had cleft lips/palate. They will also visit Kolata in next 15 days for surgery.
The team left Kolkata on Saturday morning and came back on Sunday evening. The team of 24 persons had doctors and medical students from CMC, NRS, KPC, AIIMS. They were assisted with teams of 20+ volunteers from local villages at each place.
Vanavasi Kalyan expressed his grattitude to all the volunteers from city and villages, doctors & sponsors for the successful camp.
