Goruwa village, Assam: A sewing center was inaugurated at Goruwa village, situated at a distance of 15 Kms from Marigoan town, on the 25th of March, 2013. Local men and women participated in the event.
The deputy-regional chief of Kalyan Ashram, Ms. Phoolmay Swargiyaari, while appreciating the sewing center said women should acquire self-reliance by depending upon themselves. Kalyan Ashram’s Organizing chief of Goalpara, Assam, Shri. Barun Kumar Dey gave an overview of the Kalyan Ashram and said, the tribal society should organize itself for overall development and thus associate with nation building. Shri. Khargeshwar Deka, a resident of the same village, chaired the
event and thanked the guests and all those present on the occasion. He also gave relevant information required for the trainees.
