Bengaluru October 26: RSS Sahasarakaryavaha Dattatreya Hosabale along with Dr Kasthuri Rangan former ISRO Chief and others felicitated noted educationist and former ABVP functionary Dr MK Sridhar on his 60th birth anniversary in Bengaluru on Sunday evening.
In a felicitation program organised at Vijaya College, RV road Bengaluru Dr MK Sridhar was greeted by a huge number of citizens including prominent Sanghparivar office bearers, ABVP-RSS activists.
RSS Sahasarakaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale addressed on the occasion and remembered the days of late 70s and early 80s when he was an ABVP leader and through anti-emergency movement, he met Dr MK Sridhar at Hindupur for first time. “Later Sridhar shouldered our ABVP team, memories are unforgettable. Though physically handicapped so severely, Sridhar stood against all odds, challenging himself each day reached a height of success through his dedication and commitment to serve the nation with patriotism. Charaiveti is the mantra which imbued this journey” said Dattatreya Hosabale.
‘Sahasrapadi’, a biography on life of Dr MK Sridhar was released by Dattatreya Hosabale on the occasion, written by noted journalist Ravindra Bhatta.
Educationist Dr NR Shetty, former ISRO Chief Dr Kasturi Rangan, Lexicographer Prof G Venkatasubbaiah were there on the dias.
RSS Senior Pracharak Mai Cha Jayadeva, Prajna Pravah’s Prof PV Krishna Bhat, ABVP’s Raghunandan, Bangalore University Vice Chancellor Dr Thimme Gouda and other prominent leaders attended the event.
