Bengaluru June 5, 2016: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) swayamsevaks observed World Environment Day by planting saplings at different places of the nation, actively participated in the campaign to conserve the ecology. At different venues across the nation, RSS Swayamsevaks along with the local residents planted the plants, creating awareness about ecological conservation. In Karnataka, at major cities like Bengaluru, Hubballi, semi-urban places like Koppala, Siligeri etc, Swayamsevaks took active initiative for the Environment Day campaign. In Assam, Senior RSS functionaries including Kshetra Pracharak Gourishankar ji and others planted saplings at Government Hospital of Silchar.
