The Barabazar Kumar Sabha Pustakalaya – Kolkata presented their annual “Dr Hedgewar Pragya Samman” award 2011 to eminent Bhojpuri writer Sri Krishna Bihari Mishra. Sri Mishra translated “Sri Ramakrishna Kathamrita” from Bangla to Bhojpuri. ‘Sri Ramakrishna Kathamrita’ is the compilation of teachings & discourses along with the glimpse of the life and times of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa by Sri Mahendra Gupta. Sri Sri Ramkrishna Paramhansa, the great Hindu saint, yugavtara and the spiritual guru of Swami Vivekananda.
Speaking on the occasion Sri Mohanrao Bhagwat, the Sarsanghachalak of RSS (Rashtriya Swayam sevak Sangha) highlighted the depth and importance of Pragya – Knowledge in Bhartiya culture and Hindu ethos.
Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, Ex- Central Minister and eminent thinker said that patriotism can never be disassociated from the very besic human instinct and nature, much like motherly love and compassion.
Others present included Sri Ranendralal Benerjee — RSS Purba Kshtra Sanghachalak, Sri Triloknath Chaturvedi — Ex Governor of Karnataka, Sri Jugal Kishor Jethia. The program was compared by Sri Premshanker Tripathi.
