Bhopal: Lokayukta Justice PP Naolekar registered his statement to Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the investigations of the allegedly morphed picture showing him sporting the RSS uniform.
Congress MLA Kalpana Parulekar had released the said picture to media during the winter sessions in State assembly accusing him of siding with the BJP ruled government being an RSS man. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra had countered her allegations releasing another picture to media citing that picture of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was tampered and replaced with Naolekar’s face.
Later, an advocate Gopal Krishna Dandotiya of Morena approached State Cyber Cell and lodged a complaint seeking investigations into the alleged morphing.
After initial investigations, Cyber cell booked the Congress MLA different sections of IPC and IT Act. The case was then transferred to Special Task Force (STF) and then to the CID.
In his statement to the CID, Justice Naolekar said that the picture was a morphed one and was done intentionally to defame his image. He also said that he was never associated with RSS.
The CID officials are now looking forward to record statement of the Kalpana Parulekar and Narrotam Mishra for further investigations.
The Congress legislator Kalpana Parulekar said that she will reply to the matter in accordance to law.
