BHARAT DOUD: Lakhs of Youth Participated in across nation 'Run for Bharat' saluting Vivekananda

Bangalore/New Delhi Sept 11: On Wednesday morning across India, lakhs of young men-women participated in Bharat-Doud (Run for India) marathon, to commemorate 150th Birth and 120th Chicago speech anniversary of legendary saint, Swami Vivekananda.

On September 11 in 1893, Swami Vivekananda addressed World Parliament of Religions in Chicago. Hence this day, to remember and to salute Swami Vivekananda’s ideals, the marathon by name ‘BHARAT DOUD’ was organised by Swami Vivekananda 150th Birth Anniversary Celebration Committee of different district-zonal units in each state.

Bharat Doud- Flagged at Bangalore

A TOTAL of 93,521 Citizens participated in ‘Bharat Doud -Run for Nation’ in Karnataka. In Karnataka(SOUTH) a total of 76,403 citizens participated in ‘BHARAT DOUD’ held at 153 places. In Karnataka(NORTH), at a total of 18 places ‘BHARAT DOUD’ was held in which a total of 17, 478 citizens participated.

BANGALORE- ‘Bharat Doud’

In Bangalore, the Bharat Doud was started at 3 simultaneous points including Swami Vivekananda Circle near Ramakrishna Ashrama of Basavanagudi and finally converged in historic National High school grounds. Noted scholar Dr Chidananda Murthy, Dr Vijayalakshmi Balekundri, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Bouddhik Pramukh Bhagaiah, RSS Senior Pracharak Na Krishnappa, RSS Pranth Karyavah N Tippeswamy were present during the inaugural of the marathon. Nearly 5000 youth were participated in the Bharat Doud.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 11, ಭಾರತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಓಟ: ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರ 150 ನೇ ಜನ್ಮ ಜಯಂತಿಯ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಓಟ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಆಶ್ರಮದ ಮುಂಭಾಘದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರ ಪುತ್ಥಳಿಗೆ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಗೌರವಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಹಾಗೂ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ನ್ಯಾಯಾದೀಶರಾದ ರಾಮಾಜೋಯಿಸ್, ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಸಂಶೋಧಕ ಚಿದಾನಂದಮೂರ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಆರೆಸ್ಸೆಸ್ ನ ಅಖಿಲಭಾರತೀಯ ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕ ಪ್ರಮುಖ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಭಾಗಯ್ಯ ಅವರು ಮಾಲಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ನೂರಾರು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವಕರು ಓಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡು ನಮ್ಮ ನಡಿಗೆ ಭಾರತದೆಡೆಗೆ ಎಂಬ ಸಂದೇಶ ಸಾರಿದರು.  ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿ ಸೂಲಿಬೆಲೆ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಮುಕ ಬಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರು 1893ರ ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 11ರಂದು ವಿಶ್ವಧರ್ಮ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಇಡೀ ವಿಶ್ವವನ್ನೇ ಭಾರತ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿಂದೂ ಧರ್ಮದೆಡೆಗೆ ಮುಖಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ 150ನೇ ಜನ್ಮ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆ ಸಮಿತಿ ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಓಟ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು.

HUBLI: 11-09-2013 today VIVEVK JAGRUTI MARATHON HUBLI STARTED FROM 6 DIFFERENT PLACES CONVERGED AT NEHRU STADIUM. SRI RAGHUVEERANDAJI OF RAMAKRISHAN ASHRAM, SRI GOPAL OF VHP, OTHER DINITORIES WERE PRESENT ON THE OCCASION  MORE THAN 4000 STUDENTS, CITIZENS  PARTICIPATED IN THE MARATHON.

At Kasaragod, the extreme northern district in Kerala ‘Run for Bharat’  was held successfully on Wednesday morning;  nearly 100 youth participated. Top RSS leaders including Kshetreeya Seva Pramukh Gopal Chettiyar participated in marathon which was inaugurated by noted social leader CV Poduval.

Shivamogga: Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat flagged the Bharat Doud marathon

At Shivamogga, nearly 2000 youth took part in Bharat Doud. RSS Kshethreeya Sampark Pramukh Dr Kalladka Prabhakara Bhat addressed the marathon. Amazing response from college students in Shivamogga, as of the 2000, the strength of 1600 was constituted only by college students of the city.

HASAN:

Nearly 2000 citizens including  college students participated in Bharat Doud in Hasan. Hariharapura Shridhar, the Chief Organiser addressed the gathering after the marathon. Medical students of the city participated in a good number. ಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ್ ದೌಡ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿತ್ತು. 12 ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 2000 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಪ್ರಾಂತ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೆ.ಪಿ.ಎಸ್.ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಅವರು ಸ್ವತ: ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಗರದ ಹತ್ತಾರು ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೋಲೀಸ್ ಅಧೀಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಮಾಡಲು ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.ಪ್ರಾಂತ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ|| ಜನಾರ್ಧನ್ ಕೂಡ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಿದರು.  ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಹರಿಹರಪುರ ಶ್ರೀಧರ್  ಸಭೆಯನ್ನುದ್ಧೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

Mangalore: 

Bharat Doud was organised in coastal city Mangalore in which 20,000 youth participated on Wednesday morning. The ‘Run for Bharat’ was inaugurated by Sri Jita Kamananda Swamiji, President of Ramakrishna Mutt, Mangalore. RSS Sah-sarakaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale addressed at Mangalore after BHARAT DOUD. Participation of college students were high in the marathon. Bharat Doud was concluded at Nehru Maidan. There was a formal speech and the gathering remembered the historic speech of Swami Vivekananda of Sept-11, 1893.

ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರ 150ನೇ ಜನ್ಮ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 11 ರಂದು ಚಿಕಾಗೋ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಓಟ ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್‌ನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆಯೋಜನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಅನೇಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾದರು. ಇಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 10 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ವೃತ್ತದಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಚನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಮಠದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಜಿತಕಾಮಾನಂದಜೀಯವರು ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್‌ಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ವಿವಿಧ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಂದ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ನಗರದ ಯುವಕರು ಸುಮಾರು 2೦,೦೦೦ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಷ್ಟು ಜನ ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

Gulbarga:

Swami Vivekanandas 150th Birth Year was celebrated in Gulbarga on Wednesday through Run of Bharath. Nearly 1700 citizens participated in the event.  As seen in other cities, the participation of college students were high even in Gulbarga.

Mandya:

The sugarcane city MANDYAwitnessed the Bharat Doud marathon to commemorate Vivekananda’s 150th birth year. Nearly 600 Youth participated in the event. KP Pradyumna, RSS leader of Mysore addressed the youth gathering after the ‘Run for Nation’ Marathon.

Dharwad:

 Dharwad received massive response from youth for Bharat Doud campaign. Thousands joined in for the marathon. Sri Swamiji of Ramakrishna Mutt of Dharwad, MP Prahlad Joshi at Bharat Doud InauguralBJP State President Prahlad Josji, RSS Sah Pranth Karyavah Sridhar Nadiger joined RUN FOR BHARATH at Dharwad.

Mysore:

College students took a lead in ‘Bharat Doud’ Marathon held at Mysore, the cultural city of the state. Nearly 4000 youth participated in this marathon. Top RSS functionaries including V Nagaraj, RSS Kshetreeya Bouddhik Pramukh, M Venkataram, RSS Pranth Sanghachalak, Dr Vaman Rao Bapat, RSS Mysore Vibhag Sanghachalak and oher senior functionaries were present.
