New Delhi: “In the modern education system we have paid more attention to language and knowledge than the values of life. This resulted in the loss of mutual understanding in the society. Despite that, there are many mothers who are imparting good samskars and values of life to their children. This is the reason Bharat is still alive,” said Akhil Bharatiya Bauddhik Pramukh of RSS Shri Bhagaiyaji.
He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of second year Sangh Shiksha Varga in Delhi on June 16.
A total of 179 shiksharthis from Uttar Kshetra (Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir) underwent training at the Varga, which began on May 27 at Maharaja Agrasen Technology Institute, Rohini. RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat was also present in the Varga for three days.
In his speech, Shri Bhagaiyaji stressed the need to change the education system, which is uprooting the new generation from its cultural roots. “The new generation is attracting to the West only because we have failed to apprise them of our glorious past. They read in the textbooks that whatever technological advancement is seen has been done only in the West. We have to change this picture and thinking,” he said.
Prior to it, the first year Sangh Shiksha Varga of Delhi concluded on June 9. A total of 300 swayamsevaks underwent training. Speaking at the concluding ceremony, Akhil Bharatiya Pracharak Pramukh Shri Suresh Chand said the RSS wants that all good people should join hands to make the nation stronger. In his speech, Major General (retd) Shri VK Dhul said 65 per cent of our population is today around 30 years of age and this section can play a key role in the development of the nation.
