ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಕೊರೊನಾ ಲಾಕ್ ಡೌನ್ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರ ಓಡಾಟ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹಾಗೂ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ ರೈತರಿಂದ ತರಕಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ಗ್ರಾಹಕರಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಆರೆಸ್ಸೆಸ್, ಸೇವಾ ಭಾರತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ನಿರ್ವಾಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ
80 ಜನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, 12 ಗಾಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣ್ಣು ಮತ್ತು ತರಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮನೆ ಬಾಗಿಲಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅಂತರ ಕಾಪಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

As the entire world has come to a standstill due to the global pandemic Covid-19, life has to go
on. Essential commodities like groceries, milk and vegetables have to be procured and
distributed to keep the supply chain going. Farmers who have toiled day and night to grow
vegetables and fruits can not afford to sit on perishable goods.
Rashtriya Swayam Sevaks from Hassan stepped in to help these farmers. They bought tons of
vegetables from them and sold it to the public with no profit!
Ivy gourd locally called Thondekai was sold for just twenty rupees a kilo, tomatoes were sold for
fourteen rupees a kilo and potatoes for just twenty five rupees a kilo! Vegetables were
distributed door to door to reduce crowding of people.
RSS karyakartas are also assisting the police in Channarayapatanna of Hassan district to
maintain social distancing among the public.
They have been providing these services to remote villages around Sakleshpur.
As governments are grappling to control the spread of the Coronavirus, RSS karyakartas are
helping civic agencies, police, farmers as well as the general public in whatever ways they can.
Chikkamagaluru RSS, Seva Bharati volunteers are purchasing fruits and vegetables from farmers and distributing at economical prices to consumers. Around 80 volunteers and 12 vehicles are involved in this endeavor.
It is mandated to practice social distancing while purchasing.
