The Phase II of Houses built as part of Flood relief activities by Sevabharathi were distributed to flood victims  in newly constructed ‘Jagannath Nagar’ near Hole Alur of Gadag district today. RSS Sarasanghchalak Mohan ji Bhagwat inaugurated the houses and Chief minister of Karnataka BS Yeddyurappa distributed the documents.
On the occassion keys of 473 houses were handed over to the flood victims by Seva Bharathi. Inaugurating the event, Mohan Bhagwat said, “Service is sacred duty & Bhagawan Buddha is the role model for service activities”. He called the flood victims to constrcuct a new life with harmony and co-operation by forgetting the past disaster. Bhagwat appriciated the Sewa Bharathi for carrying out more than 1,50,000 Service activiteis throughout the country, with the motive of building the country.
Stressing on the importance of village, Bhagwat said, “all the great Men & saints have born in villages and served the country. Villages are serving the need of the country”. Bhagwat also urged the villagers to make Jagannatha Nagar a model village and said, it can only done by adopting idealistic life from the villagers. “Just physical amnieties wont help the wholistic development of the village, but wholistic development can be done by villagers by following culture & ethics based life”, added Mohan Bhagwat.
The newly constructed locality in Hole Alur has been named in the memory of ‘Karnataka Kesari’ Jagannatha Joshi. Seava Bharathi in all is constructiong 1680 houses in 11 villages spending Rs 22 crore. Each house measure 300 sq feet built at the cost of Rs 1.40 lakh.
