Nagpur/Bengaluru, 30 Jul 2020: Central Secretary General of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Sri Milind Parande said, “I am delighted that this press conference, in respect of the birthplace of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram, is being held today at the holy hub Nagpur that sourced the Sangh-Ganga by Dr. Hedgewar and the Samta-Ganga from the Deeksha Bhoomi here by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar! Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Sri Ram gave the message of social harmony and empowerment from his own life. The water and earth carried to Ayodhya from thousands of holy rivers and pilgrimage centres and shrines across the country to form part and parcel of the foundation and consecration ceremony of the Temple of Nativity of Sri Ram will showcase the togetherness of the whole of Bharat and stand to enthuse, motivate and orient the people to always uphold and celebrate uncompromising cultural nationalism, integral humanism, national unity, territorial integrity of the nation.

Ram Mandir, at Ayodhya (Proposed)

He said that the emancipation of Ahalya by Bhagwan Sri Ram, high esteem shown to Shabari Mata and camaraderie with Nishadraj are outstanding illustrations of social harmony. The foundation stone of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi was laid in 1989 in the presence of many revered saints by the lotus-hands of a Scheduled Caste young-man Shri Kameshwar Chaupal, who is today also a valued Trustee of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerthakshetra Trust.

He said that, with great pomp, ceremony and joy, sacred earth from thousands of holy pilgrimage centres and waters of holy rivers are being sent from all over the country for consecration ceremony at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, Ayodhya. Whether it is from Nagpur – the birthplace of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, or from the birthplace of Sant Ravidas ji in Kashi, or Maharshi Valmiki Ashram at Sitamarhi, Bihar, or Kachargad in Gondia District in Vidarbha (Maharashtra), or Ramrekhadham of Jharkhand or Tantya Bheel’s holy land in Madhya Pradesh, Shri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) of Amritsar, Punjab or from Mahu – the birthplace of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, or the Jain Lal Mandir in Delhi or the Valmiki Temple in Delhi, where Mahatma Gandhi lived for 72 days – these are only a few examples.

It may be remembered that VHP in Karnataka recently had reached out to Nirmalanandanath Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Mutt and had collected the sacred mud from there for the ceremony in Ayodhya.

The VHP Secretary General called upon all Ram Bhaktas to sit collectively, as far as possible, from 10.30 a.m. on August 5, 2020 in their respective homes, establishments, monasteries, Ashrams, temples, etc., to offer worship-Bhajan-Keertan-Smaran-Flowers-Aarti (Service of Light) to their respective adored deities/divinities and distribute Prasad (Blessed Food). They should make all possible arrangements to show live the Ayodhya programme to the society; Decorate houses, neighbourhoods, villages, markets, monasteries, Gurudwaras, Ashrams, etc., and light Diya (lamps) in the evening; Pledge to donate for the temple, as much as possible, for the construction of the temple. Using all means of publicity/promotion/exposure/public relations, the Ram Bhaktas should ensure that this grand programme reaches more and more people of the society. Surely, in all these schemes and programmes, all care should be taken, including wearing of face masks, hand sanitizing, social distancing, etc., to protect one and all from the pandemic of COVID-19/Corona virus infection, and all government and administrative guidelines in this regard must be followed.
