Punyashlok Devi Ahilyabai Holkar’s 300th Birth Anniversary
Devi Ahilyabai Holkar’s 300th Birth anniversary is commencing on 31st May 2024. Her life journey from a village girl of an ordinary background to an extraordinary ruler is a great source of inspiration even today. She was a unique example for duty, simplicity, committment towards Dharma, administrative acumen, farsightedness, and magnificent chastity.
She administered as the representative of Bhagwan Shankar with the royal seal of “Shankar Ajnevarun” (As per the orders of Shri Shankar). Her governance was ideal with public welfare-oriented programs protecting the interests of landless farmers, tribal groups like Bhils, and widows. As an efficient ruler, Devi Ahilyabai was committed to social transformation, agricultural development, water management, environmental protection, people’s welfare and education and was also devoted to justice. The foundation of her administration had a vision based on harmony that provided honour, security and development to all sections of the society.
She paid special attention not only to her state, she made arrangements for the worship and financial management of the temples of the whole country. She renovated temples which were desecrated by the invaders from Badrinath to Rameshwaram and Dwarika to Puri. The pilgrimages which continued from ancient times and disrupted during invasions got a new breath of life due to her efforts. She got the title “Punya Shlok” because of these great efforts. The development of these sacred places which are spread across Bharat is a reflection of her national vision.
During the auspicious occasion of Punya Shlok Devi Ahilyabai’s 300th Year of Birth, all swayamsevaks and all the members of society should wholeheartedly participate in the programs organized in connection with it. The real tribute to her is to be at the forefront in the path of simplicity, character, religiosity, and national self-esteem shown by her.

पुण्यश्लोक देवी अहिल्याबाई होलकर का 300वाँ जयंती वर्ष
31 मई, 2024 से देवी अहिल्याबाई होलकर का 300 वाँ जयंती वर्ष प्रारंभ हो रहा हैl उनका जीवन भारतीय इतिहास का एक स्वर्णिम पर्व है। ग्रामीण पृष्ठभूमि वाले सामान्य परिवार की बालिका से एक असाधारण शासनकर्ता तक की उनकी जीवनयात्रा आज भी प्रेरणा का महान स्रोत हैl वे कर्तृत्व, सादगी, धर्म के प्रति समर्पण, प्रशासनिक कुशलता, दूरदृष्टि एवं उज्ज्वल चारित्र्य का अद्वितीय आदर्श थींl
‘श्री शंकर आज्ञेवरुन’ (श्री शंकर जी की आज्ञानुसार) इस राजमुद्रा से चलने वाला उनका शासन हमेशा भगवान् शंकर के प्रतिनिधि के रूप में ही काम करता रहा। उनका लोक कल्याणकारी शासन भूमिहीन किसानों, भीलों जैसे जनजाति समूहों तथा विधवाओं के हितों की रक्षा करनेवाला एक आदर्श शासन था l समाजसुधार, कृषिसुधार, जल प्रबंधन, पर्यावरण रक्षा, जनकल्याण और शिक्षा के प्रति समर्पित होने के साथ साथ उनका शासन न्यायप्रिय भी था। समाज के सभी वर्गों का सम्मान, सुरक्षा, प्रगति के अवसर देने वाली समरसता की दृष्टि उनके प्रशासन का आधार रही।
केवल अपने राज्य में ही नहीं, अपितु सम्पूर्ण देश के मंदिरों की पूजन-व्यवस्था और उनके आर्थिक प्रबंधन पर भी उन्होंने विशेष ध्यान दिया। बद्रीनाथ से रामेश्वरम तक और द्वारिका से लेकर पुरी तक आक्रमणकारियों द्वारा क्षतिग्रस्त मंदिरों का उन्होंने पुनर्निर्माण करवाया। प्राचीन काल से चलती आयी और आक्रमण काल में खंडित हुई तीर्थयात्राओं में उनके कामों से नवीन चेतना आयी। इन बृहद कार्यों के कारण उन्हें ‘पुण्यश्लोक’ की उपाधि मिली। संपूर्ण भारतवर्ष में फैले हुए इन पवित्र स्थानों का विकास वास्तव में उनकी राष्ट्रीय दृष्टि का परिचायक है।
पुण्यश्लोक देवी अहिल्याबाई की जयंती के 300 वें वर्ष के पावन अवसर पर उन्हें श्रद्धापूर्वक नमन करते हुए समस्त स्वयंसेवक एवं समाज बंधु-भगिनी इस पर्व पर आयोजित होने वाले कार्यक्रमों में मनोयोग से सहभाग करें। उनके दिखाये गए सादगी, चारित्र्य, धर्मनिष्ठा और राष्ट्रीय स्वाभिमान के मार्ग पर अग्रसर होना ही उन्हें सच्ची श्रध्दांजली होगी।
