Bengaluru November 02: Sukrupa Trust, a reputed NGO for Women empowerment, inspired by Rashtra Sevika Samiti Bangalore had organised the felicitation program of elected BBMP women corporators today Nov 2nd 2015 iat Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru.
A total of 120 people participated in the program including 30 BBMP women corporators who were duly felicitated.
The entire event was organised by ‘SUKRUPA TRUST’, Gayathri Nagar, Bangalore.
The trustees – Mrs Vasantha Swamy, Mrs Aruna Thakhar, Mrs Savithri Somayaji, Mrs Sudha Murthy, Mrs Malini Bhaskar and the Chief Guest – Mrs Alaka Inamdar, Renowned Social Worker were on the Dias.
The program began with the lighting of the lamp followed by welcome speech from Mrs Udaya Bhat who introduced the esteem people on the Dias and extended a warm welcome to the elected BBMP members and the audience.
Smt Aruna Thakhar, one of trustees of ‘SUKRUPA TRUST’, gave a brief overview about the trust. Sukrupa Trust works mainly for women and children. Sukrupa Trust runs Samskar Kendra-Training center for children, Shishu mandirs- Montessory school, and Tailoring centres, Yoga centre and Counselling centres’ for women. She also gave a brief over view about ‘Rashtra Sevika Samiti’ which is an inspirational organization for the Sukrupa Trust.
There was a power point presentation on ‘Tejomaya Bharatha-Vibrant India’ By Mrs Parimala Murthy, who emphasised on the great achievements of our Nation, its influene across the globe, and its women leaders and achievers-past and present.
The main speaker of the program Mrs Alaka Inamdar motivated everyone..more so the BBMP members by sharing examples of Great women leaders of our Nation- Ahalya bai Holkar, Jija bai, and talked about the motherhood hidden in all the great women leaders the nation has seen.
She instilled confidence in everyone by saying that it is everyone’s responsibility to make our city Beautiful, Clean, Cultural and Progressive.
During the open question -answer session, The BBMP members expressed their joy for having been invited for this program and opined that the program was very effective and informative. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to ‘Sukrupa Trust’ for taking such an initiative and extended their support and active participation in working for the society.
The program was well compered by Mrs Vasantha Swamy. Mrs Prajyothi Bhat set a wonderful atmosphere with her melodious song. And all the elected BBMP women corporators were duly felicitated with A memento of Bharatha Maata picture. Mrs Savithri Somayaji one of trustees of ‘Sukrupa Trust’ proposed the vote of thanks. Over all the entire event was outstanding, unique and motivating to everyone.
