22 Dec 2020, Bengaluru: Shri Alok Kumar, Supreme Court Advocate, Central Working President of the Vishva Hindu Parishad, Chief of Sri Rama Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust’s Nidhi Samarpana Abhiyana addressed a press conference here in the city today. Sri Na Thippeswamy, Kshetriya Karyavah of the RSS’ Dakshina Madhya Kshetra comprising of states of Karnatka, Andhra, and Telangana was also present in the press conference. He is also the Secretary of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandira Nirmana Nidhi Samarpana Samiti. The Press conference was organised at Rashtrotthana Parishat. Among the other dignitaries present were, Sri Keshava Hegde VHP’s Kshetra’s Organising Secretary and Sri Basavaraj, VHP’s Sanghatana Karyadarshi of Karnataka Dakshina Pranth were also present.

PRESS STATEMENT OF SHRI ALOK KUMAR, CENTRAL WORKING PRESIDENT, VHP ON TUESDAY, 22.12.2020

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has resolved to extend all cooperation to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for collecting monetary offerings from across the Hindu Society. The VHP workers will reach out to more than 4 Lakh villages and 11 Crore families for their contribution to the construction of Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Temple and other facilities in Ayodhya.

In the state of Karnataka, the VHP expects to reach more than 27500 villages and some 90 Lakhs devotees for obtaining the donations for the Mandir. Udupi Pejawar Math Swami Pujya Shri Vishva Prasanna Teerth is a Trustee of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra. 

The collections would be made by coupons printed in the denomination of Rs. 10, Rs. 100 and Rs. 1000. The donations for Rs. 2000 or more shall be against receipt and the donor shall have the benefit of Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.

The collection tolis would be of 5 volunteers each. They would report to a depositor. All collections would be deposited in the bank account of the Teerth Kshetra within 48 hours. Every depositor will have a registered code number at the nearest branch of one of the three banks namely State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda and Punjab National Bank. Full transparency would be maintained in the collection. 

Larsen and Toubro have been engaged to construct the Temple. Tata Consultancy services would be the Engineers for the construction. Engineers from IIT Mumbai, IIT Delhi, IIT Chennai, IIT Guwahati, CBRI Roorkee, Larsen & Toubro are working on the foundation drawing. The whole temple will be of stone blocks.

The Temple would have a total area of 2.7 acres. The construction area is 57,400 sq. ft. The length of the Temple would be 360 ft with 235 ft. The Temple would be three storied structure and with 5 Mandaps. The number of columns would be 160 on the Ground Floor, 132 on the First Floor and 74 on the Second Floor.

It is expected that by 2024 Shri Ram Lala shall be established in the sanctum sanctorum of the main Temple and the devotees invited to have His darshan in the grand Temple. 

Along with the Temple are to come up, of the international standards Library, Archives, Museum, Research Centre, Yagnyashala, Ved Pathshala, Satsangh Bhawan, Prasad distribution centre, amphitheatre, Dharmshala, Exhibition and other facilities.

All means of audio visual communications and media outreach would be employed to take the message to the entire length and breadth of the country. Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, a renowned name in the film world has prepared a documentary containing a brief history and objects of the campaign together with an appeal from the cine actor Shri Akshay Kumar for the promotion of the campaign.

The VHP believes that this is not a movement merely for one more Temple but is a conscious effort of Hindu rejuvenation, freeing the Society of its ills such as the feelings of high and low, to eradicate the deficiencies of poverty, health, education and skills, to restore the dignity of women, to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the face of the world and to realise the vedic goals of Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah – may all be happy, may all be healthy, may all be discriminating and wise and let nobody suffer from sorrows. The VHP considers this to be the world mission of Hindus and is confident of achieving it.
