ABVP rally at Mangalore University
Bangalore August 17: Showing solidarity with veteran Gandhian Anna Hazare who is on fast in Tihar Jail, nearly 4.17 lakh College students took part in rallies organised by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) in Karnataka today.

ABVP’s successful state-wide College Bandh demanding to kick out the murderers of democracy the Central Government immediately.
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad successfully closed down all the colleges state-wide today condemning the undemocratic arrest of Anna Hazare and demanding immediate abolishment of the pro-corruption UPA government. ABVP protested in huge numbers all over the state at 189 places in all districts of the state wherein total 4, 17,700 students participated.
The arrest of Anna Hazare is nothing else but the murder of democracy in day light. ABVP warns the nation of the evil intension of UPA to impose another emergency on this country. It is more than shameful that the most respected Gandhian Anna Hazare who is the modern anti-graft crusader is been put into the same Tihar jail wherein the most corrupt A Raja, Kanimozhi and Kalamadi have been kept.
The central government is frustrated and has gone paranoid which is very much being exhibited in the way it is handling the Anna Hazare issue. The UPA is totally engrossed and drowned in corruption. CWG scam, 2G spectrum scam, Rice Scam etc are the few samples of the UPA achievements through which they have siphoned away lakhs of crores of the hard earned public money.
The country needs a strong anti-corruption law such as Jana Lok Pal bill and not Cogress Joke Pal bill. It’s high time to tackle and uproot corruption for the country to be Super Power. ABVP wants the Prime Minister too into the ambit of the Lok Pal bill; the law must be equal to all, from the ordinary citizen to the PM.
Lakhs of crores hard earned public money has been stashed away to foreign tax havens which has to be brought back immediately. But the most weak and silent PM Dr. Manmohan Singh has failed to do and hence has lost all the morality to stay in power.
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad hence demands to kick out such a corrupt government immediately along with quick enforcement of a strong Jana Lok Pal bill and legislation to bring back the black money and appeals the student-youth of the nation to participate and support this movement against corruption under the leadership of ABVP which will continue till the demands are fulfilled. We will also support and participate actively in the Anna Hazare’s protest against corruption all over India.
ABVP calls for a state-wide protest tomorrow demanding the immediate abolishment of the corrupt UPA government and appeals the youth of the state to agitate forming human chain, road blocks etc.

In Bangalore, from nearly 200 colleges around 8000 college students came to streets chanting slogans for Anna Hazre and against undemocratic moves of Central Government.
In Mangalore Vibhag, at 28 places, from 192 colleges 58,920 students were participated, said Sri Anil Kumar, organising Secretary Mangalore ABVP.
In Kodagu at 7 places from 18 colleges 9400 students were participated in the rally.
In Udupi in 13 places, from 35 colleges nearly 15000 college students participated in ABVP rally.
In Gulbarga , Hubli and few other northern Karnataka Cities around 20,000 students took part in rally, said ABVP State office bearers
