  1. Dear Lakshmi Prasad,
Sub: requesting to accept my 1.complaint with relevant documents provided
    2. Propaganda material and act accordingly as soon as possible.
The Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of Private BE-MMBS institutions was a big upset to students coming from small income families like me in 2004. The BE fee in 2004 was of 2 classes: 17590/- and 52590/-. During later years the fee was raised to 86000/-. How ever the Govt of Karnataka has repaid a percentage of the amount as assured before. But this is not a final solution to the students. Irrespective of the CET/management, GM/OBC/SC/ST categories, the management is collecting a hectic amount 2 to 3 times more than the amount fixed by the CET-cell.
The capitation fee collected per year in Vidya Vikas mysuru is nearly 20000/- and it is 35000/- in Dayanand Sagar college Bengaluru . So, a student who should pay 17590 is made to pay (17590+20000) which is a clear violation of the clause mentioned by CET-CELL. (ref:copy of CET order enclosed)
Especially in Vidya Vikas, the management has made:
    1. college-bus fee mandatory to all its students since 2005, no matter where ever the student resides. The Principal blackmails parents saying that he will see how their wards will finish BE if they oppose the management or refuse to pay the bus fees.
    2. The Colleges are authorized by KSRTC dept. to issue student bus pass for a duration 10 months through College itself. The fee has been reduced from Rs.1500 to Rs.1300 by KSRTC department. But the concession is not reaching VVIET students as the College staffs are demanding Rs.1500 even now.
    3. The attendance shortage fine collected at the end of the semester is 500/- per subject (its 100/- in all other colleges).
    4. Arun,An electrical engineering student lost 2years during 2005-2006 because of the negligent office staff who had not included his name while submitting the “list of students” to the VTU.
    5. A part from this most of the teaching staff members in E&C, CS-IS dept are just B.E. holders, which is again a violation of AICTE standards which has ordered that all faculty members should have a BE M.tech degree, with a 1st class marks in any one of them.
Though Complaints have been posted by students to News papers, VTU vice chancellors, it is of no use as its Chairman Mr. Vasu, a congress politician from Chama- raja constituency and a brother in law of Central Law minister Veerappa Moily, is using his political influences to wade off punishments.
I kindly request you to read the Cet-cell orders regarding fee structure a student is supposed to pay during next 3yrs of his engineering from the date of admission, which I have enclosed along with this letter. I have been a great supporter and admirer of ABVP activists since my high school days. My respect for the organization increased since 2004 after seeing that ABVP had put up tough opposition to COMED-K, a group of private engineering & medical colleges, created mostly by the Congress politicians like RL.Jalappa, CM.Ibrahim, Jaffer Shariff, Shamnur Shiva Shankarappa, Parmeshwara, Vasu(Moily’s brother in law), DK Shivakumar started troubling CET counseling process over fee hike and seat sharing issues. Comed-k can be called “ Congress organization for money extortion in Karnataka ”
I also suggest you to consider my leaf let designed as a propaganda material and start a massive ABVP membership drive all over Karnataka especially in BE and diploma colleges where ABVP membership is relatively less compared to students of other courses. I am very much sure that if we circulate this to all fresh students and their parents at the CET-CELL during counseling and to BE students at colleges, ABVP will be the undisputed student welfare organization in Karnataka.
    Hoping for justice yours truly

  2. can any1 of u tell how to obtain CET cell fee structure and its directions through RTI act to a student who selects seat for BE..
