New Delhi: Pramukh Sanchalika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, V Shanta Kumari, Popularly known as Shantakka , told media persons in New Delhi on October 4 that the Samiti is going to intensify its campaign against the menace of Love jihad and conversion. For it, she said, the Samiti is organising special one day camps to educate the Hindus young girls and their parents against it. Citing some reports she feared that the Hindu girls trapped in love jehad can be misused in terrorist activities.
Expressing concern over the new threat to Hindu society she appealed to the Hindus to educate their girls against it. “In order to educate the Hindu girls and their parents against conversion and love jehad, we have started organising special personality development camps in schools and colleges. Through such camps the youth are awakened about these threats and also their duty in such circumstances,” she told Organiser.
She pointed out that over 100 such camps have already been organised in Karnataka and now will be organised in other states also.
Shantakka Tai was in Delhi on her first trip after becoming Pramukh Sanchalika of the Samiti. A function was held at Arya Samaj Mandir in which over 200 Sevikas gathered in full uniform to offer Pramukh Sanchalika Pranam. Akhil Bharatiya Sah Karyavahika Smt Asha Sharma, Delhi Prant Karyvahika Smt Radha Mehta and Delhi Prant Pracharika Sushri Poonam Gupta were also present at the function.
The Samiti chief also pointed out that over 10 lakh Sevikas are associated with the Samiti all over the country and it has branches in more than 20 countries of the world. She said the Samiti also runs over 871 service projects, including 22 free girls’ hostels in different parts of the country.
