Vivekananda-150: Skating Rally from Kanyakumari to Nagpur

Bangalore Jan 5, 2012: Nagpur Municipal Corporation organised a Skating Rally from Kanyakumari to Nagpur in commemoration with Swami Vivekananda 150^th Birth Anniversary Celebrations with the motto “Nation Development through Character”. Lead by Sri Dayashankar Tiwari, Standing Committee Chairman of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, the rally which covers 1947 KMs was inaugurated on 2^nd January 2013 & reached Bangalore on evening of 4^th January 2013 passing through Madhurai & Salem.

On 5^th January 2013 morning rally began its 4^th day’s journey from the premises of Rashtrottana Parishat, Chamarajpet in Bangalore. The team comprises nearly 50 people in which 23 people are skaters.
