Bengaluru, January 29, 2026:Dakshinaasya Darshini – Consciousness Through Science, a four-day event exploring the confluence of science, innovation and philosophy, commenced today at Palace Grounds, Bengaluru. The event is being held from January 29 to February 1, 2026.
The event is jointly organised by Param Foundation, Vedanta Bharati and Mythic Society. It aims to foster scientific temper rooted in India’s philosophical and civilisational thought.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Sri Shankara Bharati Mahaswamiji, Sri Brahmananda Bharati Swamiji, S. Somanath, Former Chairman, ISRO, Vikram Sampath, Historian and Columnist, Srinivasa Gupta, President, Param Foundation, Laksmeesha Simha, Trustee, Vedanta Bharati.
A key highlight of the event is the student Makethon, co-organised by the three institutions and conducted over the past two months. Students from over 80 schools participated in the Makethon, from which 43 finalist teams were selected and given the opportunity to showcase their projects at the event.

The finalist projects reflect a unique integration of cutting-edge scientific innovation with Vedantic thought, demonstrating how creativity, science, and philosophical inquiry can intersect meaningfully.
The chief guests, including S. Somanath and Vikram Sampath, visited the exhibition, interacted with the students, and reviewed the projects on display.

Speaking at the inauguration S. Somanath highlighted the importance of nurturing curiosity, scientific inquiry, and original thinking among young students, while grounding innovation in deeper philosophical understanding.
As part of the event, Param Foundation and Vedanta Bharati exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on initiatives that integrate science, innovation and philosophy, with the shared goal of developing a robust scientific and innovation ecosystem.

The event has witnessed participation from 2,400 students representing 22 schools. Winners of the Makethon exhibits will be announced during the course of the event.
Dakshinaasya Darshini continues over the next three days with exhibitions, interactions, and discussions aimed at reimagining science education through a civilisational and consciousness-based lens.
