RSS Sarakaryavah at New India Conference at Washington DC, USA
Washington DC, USA 23 April 2026: Hindu philosophy and Hindu culture doesn’t allow supremacy. Because we see that the whole world as one family, and all are our brothers and sisters. Then there is no question of supremacy. We see the oneness in everybody. So, when that is the basic philosophy of Hindus, the supremacist nature of Hindus cannot be there.
Dattatreya Hosabale was speaking in response to Walter Russel Mead’s question on Hindu Supremacy at “New India Conference” fire side chat on 23rd April 2026 at Washington DC hosted by Hudson Institute.
RSS believes that continuous and comprehensive dialogue with all these groups will definitely help in clearing the misconceptions, misgivings, or if there are any fears, that will definitely be clarified. So, RSS is engaged in such dialogues with the generally called as minorities and their leadership.
RSS is the people’s voluntary movement and inspired by cultural ethos and civilization values of ancient India, which is generally known as Hindu philosophy and Hindu culture.
On modernization and tradition pull in different directions and how RSS sees these impulses, General Secretary of RSS Dattatreya Hosabale says “while there may be occasional tensions, both modernization and cultural values can exist together. Adaptation would be required. This is symbolized by the Banyan tree, with strong and deep roots every season it also grows new roots and fruits. Japan, China, India have largely modernized without disconnecting with the cultural roots.
