Feb 3: The Rashtriya Seva Bharati (RSB) will be conducting an All India convention of its affiliated organizations, ‘Seva Sangama’, starting from Saturday, Feb 6 to Monday, Feb 8 here at the Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Yelhanka.

Announcing this at a press conference on Tuesday, Feb 2, Sri Sitaram Kedilaya, National Chief of Seva Vibhag said, “Over 700 non government organisations will be coming together during these 3 days. RSS chief Mohan Rao Bhagwat and many noted Sangh Leaders will be present on the occasion.”

Rashtriya Sevabharathi was set up with an intention of addressing the needs of the underprivileged in the urban, rural and remote areas of the country in 2003.

RSB is formed for the ‘Rejuvenation of the Nation through Social Change’.

Presently, over 700 voluntary organisations are affiliated with the umbrella organisation. RSB manages over 1.57 lakh social projects and programmes throughout India, Kedilayaji added.

The upcoming convention has been scheduled to review the progress made by the affiliated organisations in their respective areas and to map a future plan of action.
