Bharat Parikrama Yatra reached Uppunda village Nov 8-2012

Uppunda, Udupi district Nov 8, 2012: Uppunda, the village besides the National Highway 66, welcomed the Bharat Parikrama Yatra lead by RSS Pracharak Sitarama Kedilaya. Sitarama Kedilaya has completed a journey of 1000km, said one of the chief organiser to Vishwa Samvada Kendra-Karnataka.

Rajiv Bhat, President of Gram Vikas Project for Uppunda village welcomed Bharat Parikrama Yatra. After his Goupooja at Navunda where he stayed last night, Kedilaya began his Padayatra on 92nd day, reached Uppunda crossing Nagooru and Kambadakone villages.

Kedilaya received his food at Arehadi Manju Devadiga, a local resident. He visited Pre-University college at Uppunda, planted a coconut tree at its premises. U Sitaramayya, Principal of the college welcomed the Kedilaya along with the Students. Kedilaya also participated in Satsang arranged at Durgaparameshwari Temple hall of Uppunda. Bharat Parikrana Yatra will eneter North Karnataka on Saturday, after tomorrows visit at Shirooru.

Launched on August 9 at Kanyakumari, Bharath Parikrama Yatra is aimed to uplift the rural Indian Life. The Yatra has a scheduled duration of 5 years, covering 15000km, reaching almost all districts of India. Sitaram Kedilaya, held the position of Akhil Bharatiya Seva Pramukh last year. Hailing from Salmara village of Puttur of Karnataka, Sitaram Kedilaya has rendered his service as an RSS Pracharak since 1970.
