Don’t sideline Hindu Fishermen, provide them every facilities: Dr Togadia demands Govt

Trichur – Kerala, October 27, 2012: In a large public rally of the Kerala Fishermen State Convention in Trichur, Organized by Matsya Pravarthak Sangha, VHP International Working President Dr Pravin Togadia demanded the due respect & facilities for Hindu Fishermen in Kerala who, for ages protected natural resources & culture of Kerala but Muslim Fishermen now grab all benefits.

Dr Togadia further said, “With petro dollars from Middle East & Drug money from other countries, the Cow eater Muslims have captured large areas of Kerala Sea with their huge trawlers & sprawling nets. Hindu fishermen do not get much catch. Muslims do deep water fishing harming the marine natural resources & thereby disturbing the reproduction cycles of Fish & other marine livings. Thus with excessive fishing by them, even the plants in the deep waters of the sea like sea-weeds, sea-cucumbers have already become distinct. This situation is not only in Kerala but also in other coastal areas of Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Adman, Bengal, Odisha etc. Even for river water fishing, there is the similar issue in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar & other areas.”

Dr Togadia made 4 important demands:

1. Only Hindu Fishermen should be allowed to fish in Kerala.
2. The Union & State Governments should devise & disperse special Economic package for Hindu Fishermen with immediate effect to save their livelihood & enhance their skills / machines.
3. State Government should give special Cold Storage facilities to Hindu Fishermen to increase exports as well as canning & fish processing for even intra-Bharat sale. Both these businesses now have been captured by Muslim fishermen by force in the sea & by money muscle in exports.
4. For further growth prospects, the Union & State Governments should provide Hindu Fishermen with expert advice, training in modern methods of fishing without harming the marine bio-balance & also in fish processing. There is a big institute in Kerala looked up by the word for Fishing & Fish Processing guidance. But Hindu Fishermen are not getting much benefit from these facilities. Governments should systematically plan such activities.

Dr Togadia criticized Italian Government & the Italian Car company Ferrari for intentionally hurting Kerala Fishermen & Bharat by putting up Italian Navy’s flag on the Formula One car while the issue of Italian Navy men shooting Kerala fishermen dead is sub judice. He demanded cancellation of the visas of Ferrari team if the still insist on anti-Bharat behavior.
