Bengaluru December 14, 2016: Aimed to showcase the various service activities by more than 250 socio-religious Hindu Organisations, a 5-day state level mega event Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair-2016 (HSSF) was inaugurated on Wednesday evening. The mega event began today from December 14th will conclude on 18th, 2016 at National High School Grounds, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru.

Former ISRO Chief and President of Reception Committee Dr Kasturirangan, Pujya Veereshananda Swamiji of Ramakrishna Ashrama Tumakuru, Pujya Sri Bante Varajyoti Swamiji of Bidar, Sri Si Gyani Darbar Sing of Gurudwar Bidar jointly inaugurated the conclave. Writer Dr Doddarangegouda, Industrialist MP Kumar, Murali Malayappan, Cardiologist Dr Vijayalakshmi Balekundri, Educationist Dr MK Sridhar delivered the Keynote address. A procession (Walkathon) was held prior to the inaugural, from Dodda Ganapati Temple to National College Grounds.

This will be the second edition of Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair-2016 in Karnataka, the last year’s event was held at same venue from December 9 to 13, 2015.

Nearly 250 Hindu Socio-religious Service institutions from across Karnataka showcasing their various service activities by setting up stalls. The fair is expected to attract over 3 lakh citizens of Bengaluru and nearby districts. Students from over 100 educational institutions taking part in various competitions organised as a part of the Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair.

Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair intends to provide a platform for spiritual and service organisations and also to motivate, involve the public to be part of the process of social transformation.

The event is being organised by Hindu Spiritual and Service Foundation, Bengaluru with 6 themes as focus. They are;

1.Conserve Forest and Protect Wildlife

2. Preserve Ecology

3. Inculcate Family and  Human values

4. Sustain Environment

5.Foster Women’s Honour

6. Instil Patriotism
