He was born on 14th April 1891 to army subedar Ramji Rao who was Mahar by caste. This caste though served Shivaji and Peshwas in the military considered as a lower caste that created problems in the society. When Ramji Rao looked at the moon like the face of his son Bhimrao he sighed whether his son also had to suffer the horrors of a life of a Mahar? His father tried his best to provide him the education. Lots of episodes were faced by him during his school days but he never lost is hope of educating his child.

One of the incident that strikes the mind where we find Dr BR Ambedkar in his childhood along with his three friends was moving in a bullock cart of uppercaste. But on the way, the upper caste people came to know that they were from the Mahar caste so they were pushed down. They were completely hurt from this. Bhimrao’s father saw the three boys, who looked like scarecrows. Wherein Ramji Rao said to his children see my dear kids you must have now understood what education would count for you and it is only a way that you can change this world.

He got married to Ramabai . In 1912, he got his degree in political science and economics from Bombay University and was employed by the Baroda state government. We find that the constitution of India is a landmark rule being the law of the land refined it has right to improve the situation of the backward community. The responsibility of the backward community was in his shoulders along with which even he had the responsibility of the whole nation that he performed with a righteousness. He always had a point in his mind however good a constitution may be if there is no implementation of social upliftment then democracy in India would not have a meaning. Our country always truth on the principle of Vasudeva kutumbakam and Sarve janaha sukhi no bhavantu where common feeling of goodness and integrity is the way that would lead us to success.

Dr BR Ambedkar had been involved into all the activities that were taking place in the nation so that he wanted a way to remove all the stereotypes that is prevailing in the minds of the people regarding the caste system. Being fed up of the immoral practices in the Hindu society embraced Buddhism finding the way of truth and being inspired from the teachings of Buddha.

As youngsters and citizens in the 21st century Dr BR Ambedkar stands an inspiration that reformation in the society is very important and must always stand towards bringing a change in the society where it is necessary. He perhaps gave a message that education is the transformation of the society where the representation from all the citizens is necessary in order to build up democracy. We may have lots of differences in the society where Indian society represent heterogeneity but despite of all this we need to promote unity and that is the secret of our working where humanity stands first. We are blessed with a wonderful constitution where the hardships of Dr BR Ambedkar will always remain for ages.

“A just society is that society in which ascending sense of reverence and descending sense of contempt is dissolved into the creation of a compassionate society.”

“If I find the constitution being misused, I shall be the first to burn it.”
