Bengaluru June 05, 2017: Samartha Bharata organised 1 Crore Sapling Plantation Drive inaugurated today at RV Teachers College Auditorium Bengaluru.
Eminent Water Conservationist Sri AR Shivakumar of Indian Institute of Science inaugurated the mega Campaign. Sri HM Balakrishna, Trustree of Rashtreeya Sikshana Samiti, Dr Krishnaiah, Principal of RV Teachers College, Sri Rajesh Padmar, Trustee of Samartha Bharata were present.
Walkathon: A Walkathon held for Green Bengaluru in which hundreds of students participated. The Walkathon began at RV Teachers College Circle to Lalbagh WestGate. A Human Chain was formed at Lalbagh, imbuing the spirit of ecological consciousness. A Plant sapling, an a packet of Seed balls were distributed to the students.
