Jammu:  A Seva Sangam programme was recently organized by Akhil Bharatiya Seva Bharati, Jammu & Kashmir unit in which representatives of various seva organizations throughout the country participated with enthusiasm. Around 50 organizations participated in this confluence held in the premises of Ved Mandir situated in Ambphala locality of Jammu. Five seva organizations from J&K and three from Laddakh participated in the meet.
Dignitaries such as Seva Bharati National President Sooryaprakashji Tonk, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Saha Seva Pramukh Suhasrao Hiremath, Kshetra Seva Pramukh Shreeniwasji Moorti, Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal Prant Seva Pramukh Jaidevji, Jammu-Kashmir Seva Bharati chief Ramlalji Gandotra, etc graced the occasion. The profound guidance given by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Saha Sarakaryawah Sureshji Soni was a noticeable feature of the entire event.

In the inaugural session Suhas Rao Hiremath congratulated various institutions for participating in this noble congregation and highlighted the central idea behind organizing such a huge gathering. If society remains happy, we will be happy and through this manner we can spread happiness among the society, nation and the entire world, he insisted. Representatives of various organizations gave a brief presentation about their nature of work.
In the beginning, the special exhibition organized to mark the congregation was inaugurated by Suryaprakashji Tonk, Suhasrao Hiremath and Shreeniwasji Moorti.

Seva Bharati volunteers exchanged their views and experiences in the second session. Many small seva organizations got a valuable guidance from the well-experienced organizations. After this, the representatives narrated their experiences encountered during the congregation. Mumtaz Maqbool from Kashmir and other women karyakartas sung the song ‘Itni Shakti Humein De Na Daata’ in their succulent voice that was lauded by the entire audience.

Seva Bharati National President Sooryaprakashji Tonk guided the representatives on the concluding ceremony by taking a detailed account of the presentations given by them. At the end, RSS Saha Sarakaryawah Sureshji Soni expressed his views regarding need for seva work, handing over the responsibility of seva work in the hands of new generation and inculcation of seva sanskars among youths.

Total 150 representatives participated in the congregation among which 35 were women karyakartas; 15 women karyakartas represented the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Seva Bharati Jammu & Kashmir Mahamantri Krishnalalji Kachru compeered the programme. Seva Bharati Jammu & Kashmir project co-ordinator Anusuyaji Khosa, various project in-charges and trainees rendered their active co-operation for organizing the programme.
