Mangaluru Lit Fest at the TMA Pai International Convention Hall on Nov 3,4

7 Oct 2018, Mangaluru: The Port City will create history by hosting its maiden Mangaluru Lit Fest- 2018 at the TMA
Pai International Convention Hall on Nov 3 and 4. The event is being organised by
Mangaluru Literary Foundation- a group of like minded individuals.

The theme for the maiden
Mangaluru Lit Fest is ‘The Idea of Bharat.’ It is an attempt to showcase ‘The Idea of Bharat’ – Ancient Indian wisdom of peace, brotherhood and universal wellbeing, as envisioned in ‘Udara Charitanam Tu Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, through intellectual discourse by the finest literary minds
from across the globe.

Saraswati Samman Awardee Padmashri S. L. Bhairappa, a doyen in the field of Indian literature, will be felicitated with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his immense contributions towards ‘The Idea of Bharat’.
Mangaluru Lit Fest intends to provide a platform for intellectual deliberations on ‘The Idea of Bharat’. The festival will be a platform for monologues, panel discussions, conversations, book reviews, symposiums, along with book and art exhibition.
Prominent litterateurs participating include Mr. Rajeev Malhotra, Dr. David Frawley, Major Gaurav Arya, Mr. R Jagannathan, Ms. MadhuKishwar, Ms. SahanaVijayakumar, Ms. Shefali Vaidya, Mr. Prakash Belwadi , Mr. Vivek Agnihotri, Mr. Sandeep Balakrishna,
Mr. AnandRanganathan, Mr. Chakravarti Sulibele, Mr. Rohith Chakratirta, Mr. Shaddalu Ranade, Mr. Makarand Paranjape and Mr. Anirban Ganguly.
The LitFest patrons are Dr N. Vinaya Hegde, Chairman, Nitte Education Trust, Mrs. Sandhya Pai, Executive Editor, Taranga Weekly and Mr. Rajeev Chandrashekhar, Member of
Parliament.
