Chitrakoot: On the occasion of 4th Punyatithi of Rashtrarishi Nanaji Deshmukh, an All India Volunteer’s Meet to elucidate Deendayal Research Institute’s Self Reliance Model for villages that is replicable and sustainable, on Feb 27.
Chandikadas Amritrao Deshmukh, popularly known as Nanaji Deshmukh (October 11, 1916 – February 27, 2010) was a social activist of India. He did exemplary work in the field of education, health and rural self-reliance and has been honored with Padma Vibhushan title by the Government of India. He was a leader of Bharatiya Jana Sangh and also a member of Rajya Sabha.
The 3 day Conference was attended by 33 NGOs and 150 individuals that have an interest in rural development. The sessions were divided by the Vision parameters of the Institute, mainly
