Tiptur, Karnataka: Pledged to join their hands for the social cause, RSS Swayamsevaks spent their Sunday along with the officers of local fireforce station to learn the basic skills needed for firefighting during emergency situations, at Tiptur of Tumakuru district in Karnataka on Sunday July 12, 2014.
A team of RSS Swayamsevaks visited local fireforce station early morning of Sunday. Officers welcomed swayamsevaks, explained basic works associated with fire rescue operations. Officers also explained the skills needed in firefighting technology and a safety measures of the firefighter-rescuer and related emergency medical services.
RSS Swayamsevaks learned some basic skills needed during firefighting such as prevention, self-preservation, rescue, preservation of property, basic first aid, fire control, size-up, extinguishing, ventilation, salvage and overhaul.
