Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti, No. 55, 1st Main Road, Seshadripuram, 560020 had called for massive protests in all 28 assembly constituencies of Bengaluru as well as many other districts of the state condemning the increasing murders of Hindu activists. BJP,Vishwa Hindu Parishat(VHP), Bhajarang Dal, Hindu Jagarana Vedike and many organizations supported and participated in the protests
There has been a rampant increase in the killing of Hindu activists by the fundamentalist Muslim groups like the PFI, SDPI in the last few years particularly after CM Siddaramaiah assumed power in the state of Karnataka. The brutal killings have no personal animosity but targeted in instilling fear among Hindus and also disturb the harmony of the society.
Paresh Mesta in Honnavara is the recent vicitim of such killing and 20 other Hindu activists have been killed so far and the government is a silent eye to it. It is over a year Rudresh was murdered in wee hours of the city and chargesheet has been filed against 5 criminals by the state police and NIA who is investigating the case and all the five have had responsibilities in organizations like PFI and SDPI.
A book written by Senior journalist Sri Hariprakash Konemane regarding the brutal killings and the State Government’s bias in handling the whole issue was released in various places
Protests were held in all 28 assembly constituencies of Bengaluru. Convenor of Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti, Sri K S Sridhar, Hebbal BJP MLA Narayanaswamy, BJP MLA from Malleshwaram Dr. Aswathnarayana, Basavanagudi MLA Sri Ravi Subrahmanya BJP corporators of various wards and prominent RSS and Sangha Parivar activists including senior Pracharak K S Nagaraj, RSS functionaries Venkatesh Hegade, Dr Bharateesh Rao, VHP’s Sri Shankarappa, Sri Suryanarayana of the Bajrang Dal, Pracharak Sri Jayaram Bollaaje, lawyer Sri Vasanth Madhava, Social media analyst Sri Rajesh Padmar, journalist and member of Citizens for Democracy Sri Vrushanka Bhat, Sri Prakash Raju of the Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti, were present in various protests held in the city.

Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti, has demanded the below in their memorandum which was submitted to the Governor of Karnataka thru the respective DC.
- Impose ban on organizations like PFI, KFD, SDPI who spread hate and are creating an environment of fear.
- Have NIA investigate the killing of 20 Hindu activists.
