RSS extends its footprint to 70,000 places across the country: Shri. Bhaiyyaji Joshi

On the backdrop of Akhila Bharatiya Karyakari Mandali baitak , the Sarakaryavaha (General Secretary)   of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh,  Shri. Bhyayyaji Joshi addressed the press conference here in Jana Seva Vidya Kendra, Chennenahalli , Bengaluru. Shri Arun Kumar, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh , Akhil Bharatiya Saha Prachar Pramukhs, Shri Narendra Thakur and Shri Sunil Ambekar were also present.

In the history of RSS, this is the first time RSS had to cancel the ABPS except for the ban during 1975-76 and 1992. RSS has reached nearly 70,000 places across India through its work, 39,000 places via shakas (daily routine) amounting to nearly 62,500. Compared to last year the number of Shakas have gone up by 3000 and weekly milans by 4000.

The Karyakari Mandal passed three resolutions

1. Ram Mandir – Supreme court has given the judgement to construct the temple and RSS welcomes it. He also quoted the sacrifices of the martyrs for the cause of construction of temple.
2. Article 370 – RSS welcomes the move by the parliament which has nullified Article 35A , which was a hindrance to development and was against the idea of India’s constitution.
3. CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) – which helps religiously persecuted minorities (viz, Hindus, Parsis, Christians, Buddha, Sikhs, Jains) of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan to attain citizenship.

In the entire country, RSS has identified nearly 1 lakh youth in the age group of 18-22 and another group of 20-35, who can shoulder responsibility towards working for the nation. He added that RSS has conducted a survey of nearly 15 lakh people working across different sectors in the society. RSS is also coming up with a plan to engage these people in social work and harmony in the next 2-3 years. Sangh’s work has reached nearly 3000 villages in 5 dimensions; viz Education, Health, Agriculture, Self Reliance and Social harmony. Water, Tree and Plastics are three areas in which RSS has given direction to work for. Save water, Increase plantation and reduce plastic is the mantra RSS works with.

Answering a question on CAA, Shri Joshi responded by saying that leaders in the country have turned a national issue on to a political one. All political parties should try to sort out their misunderstanding on CAA by speaking to the government.

He ended the conference by saying one must be clear in distinguishing Westernization from modernization and not forget our culture and accept everything which is West.
