Memorandum to Honourable President of India.

To

Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil

Honourable President,

Government of India.

Sub. – Demands regarding rally organized by YAC and ABVP

Madam,

ABVP has been working since last 63 years in the fields of educational arena and has time and again through its creative conduct catalyzed the dream of making India a global and prosperous country. Its single fold agenda has always been to work for the right cause and enthused energy in the youth of the country to make them feel that they are an integral part of the country and they have to play a pivotal role in the development of mother India.

Madam, the country is in serious crisis and corruption is rampant. India’s image as an economically robust country has got a setback owing to the prevailing corruption in every sector. The contributions of our great ancestors, scholars, corporate, scientists and others who gave their lifetime to make India a role model for the country has morally suffered a humiliating defeat because of immoral and corrupt. Youth against Corruption (YAC) and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has been continuously fighting against corruption from last year.

The recent developments in the 2G spectrum deal has made it evident that such a massive corruption cannot be conducted without the involvement of the government. It is thus clear that the role of P. Chidambaram the then finance minister is also crystal clear in the malfunctioning of the allocation of spectrums. It is quite obvious that he is the present Home Minister and he can influence the fair conduct of an inquiry in the case. YAC and ABVP thus demand an immediate resignation of P. Chidambaram so that efforts against corruption can be carried off in the right direction.

The rampant corruption prevailing in the NGO and Private sector is also a matter of serious concern. If the government makes parliamentary provisions to bring back black money lying in foreign countries this can expedite the development of the country. Besides working in the area of social work and development of the country private sector and NGOs are also indulged into corrupt practices and many a times influence government decisions.

Taking into consideration these issues YAC and ABVP demands –

1. Immediate resignation of P Chidambaram

2. Bring back black money and issuing of floating warrant.

3. Enact stringent laws in NGO and Private sector.

We hope you will act immediately concerning India’s well being and take steps to fulfill these demands and uproot the menace of corruption.
