Gujarat police & IB killed Ishrat, 3 others in ‘cold blood’, says CBI, Heat On Modi But CM & Close Aide Not Named: Ahmedabad: The CBI has charged the Narendra Modi government and the Intelligence Bureau with the fake encounter of 19-year-old Mumbra college student Ishrat Jahan and three others in June 2004. In its chargesheet filed on Wednesday, the CBI said Ishrat Jahan was falsely branded a terrorist out
to kill Modi and she and the other three were killed in “cold blood”. [TOI p1]
2. CBI faced higher-ups’ pressure? : Ahmedabad: The CBI has bought time before nailing Rajinder Kumar, the IB chief in Gujarat at the time of
the fake encounter of Ishrat Jahan in June 2004. Kumar, allegedly the main conspirator in the case, is retiring this monthend as the CBI’s special

among the accused in the four encounter cases declared as fake by the

17. Govt favours death term for 3, Nirbhaya Effect: UPA Wants Prez To
Reject Mercy Pleas : New Delhi: It is the Nirbhaya effect on UPA-2. The
government has recommended death penalty for three convicts found
guilty of women-related crimes. While Madhya Pradesh resident Maganlal
