Bangalore Nov 26: Sri Ma. Venkataramu, senior social leader of Mysore today was re-elected as Pranth Sanghachalak (President) of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Karnataka Dakshina for next 3 years.
In a meeting of RSS district level Secretaries (Zilla Karyvah) at Janaseva Vidya Kendra, Channenahalli. Venkataramu was unanimously elected as Pranth Sanghachalak. Venkataramu is Sanghachalak since 2006, in the year of Guruji Golwarkar’s Centenary Celebrations.
After his retirement from the department of Food and Civil supplies as a Senior Officer, Venkataramu is actively involved in activities of social reforms. Sri Ma Venkataramu is well known for his contribution for ‘Samarasya Vedike’ a platform for eradication of social evils like untouchability and casteism and to unite the Hindu society imbuing social harmony. He served as one of the State Coordinator for ‘Samarasya Vedike Karnataka’.
‘Sanghachalak’ is the Supreme post in RSS at the level of a State or Zone.
Renowed Academician, Dr. M K Sridhar was elected as Bengaluru Mahanagara Sanghachalak in the same meeting.
Dr. M. K. Sridhar is a post graduate in Commerce and a doctorate from Mysore
University. He has taught and specialized in Marketing Management, Services
Marketing, Managerial Communication, Training and Development and Business Ethics. He served as the Member-Secretary and Executive Director of Karnataka Jnana Aayoga (Karnataka Knowledge Commission) headed by Dr K Kasturirangan. He also was the Rashtriya Upadhyaksha of the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat(ABVP).
