ABVP will be holding a day-long National Convention to intensify its agitation against corruption
on 12th May in Delhi. ABVP will announce of new Youth Forum in a special function on 12th May at 5pm at Mavlankar Hall, Delhi.
Since last couple of months ABVP is continuously active in agitation against corruption.Last Parliamentary session has witnessed on 4th March when thousands of students agitated in the leadership of ABVP in Delhi. This broader forum will be constituted to have youth participation and to make available a non political platform to them. Memorandum of essential demands (Agenda) will also be declared on 12th May to check the corruption.
Beside students, people from different walks of life will join this forum as activist ,as supporters and also as guiding force. Social worker & activists like Shri. R. Balasubramnyam (Mysore), Shri Ashok Bhagat (Ranchi) has already declared their support to this forum. All of them will encourage youths by their presence in the convention on 12th May. On 12th May ABVP will also declare the list of corrupt Vice chancellors all over the country. For corruption free nation ABVP expects from the youth of this country to create pressure on central government as well as on all political parties so that necessary measures can be implemented immediately.
ABVP supports different ongoing agitations against corruption and believe that various socialactivists and organisation from different walks of life should unite to strengthen this battle against corruption. This new forum will be an important initiative in this regard.

1. Shri. R. Balasubramanyam (Mysore)
He is basically from Bengaluru. He is visiting faculty in Harward University. During student life in 1984, he started ‘Swami Vivekanand Youth Movement’ under which projects like hospital, school for tribal students are being run. He is a well known RTI activist in Karnataka. Earlier he was chief of Public Food Supply and Health department. He is India’s consultant for World Health Organisation (WHO). He is also a member of Karnataka government’s Vision 2020 team. He is a famous crusader against corruption in Karnataka.
2. Shri. Ashok Bhagat (Ranchi)
After coming to Jharkhand in 1983 he started social organisation by the name ‘Vikas Bharati, Bishunpur ’. Today in all the districts of Jharkhand it is working for tribals in the fields of education, medical, agriculture, water conservation, women empowerment and environment. Many projects are successfully running in these fields. He planted 1 lakh trees in this area for which he was felicitated by ‘Indira Gandhi Vriksha Priyadarshini’ award. He is also felicitated by many awards as a social activist.Basically he is a native of Uttar Pradesh (Faizabad). He was active in ABVP for a long time. Hewas also Province Organising secretary of ABVP in Uttar Pradesh.
