“Seed ball is a unique concept in which seed of a plant will be carefully covered with mud(soil) with nutritive content. It will be thrown to bare area, where there is no vegetation at all. Upon falling the ground, during the rainy season, the mud coat dissolves and seeds gets germinated establishing the its growth. Nearly 40-50% is the chance of survival” says Gangadhar Kasaraghatta, the State organising secretary of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh Karnataka.

Gangadhar has been promoting this seed ball campaign since last 2 years. As a result, more than 8000 plants were grown in Karnataka so far through this initiatuve, especially in Tumakuru, Kolar, Doddaballapura, Ramanagara districts with the help of different NGO’s.
