Letter by a Kashmir Pandit residing in Bengaluru: Dileep Kachroo
The unfinished agenda of 1947 has been completed today by our beloved great Prime Minister Modi ji and Home Minister Amit Shah ji. Thank You Modi ji & Amit Shah ji.
It is a proud moment & undoubtedly a historical one. For many nationalists like us we had got into cynicism whether we would ever see the abrogation of the draconic articles.
Today, We need to remember all those who worked relentlessly for removal of the Article 370.
We have to remember some of the great leaders as we show our gratitude towards their undying efforts. Dr.Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Dr. B R Ambedkar ji, Pt. Deendayal ji, Prem Math Dogra ji , A.B.Vajpayee ji, Balasaheb Thackeray ji, Tikalal Taploo ji, Prem Nath Bhat ji, Amar Nath Vaishnavi ji, and last but not the least, the thousands of Karyakartas of RSS guided by the nationalist ideology & concept of Akhand Bharat. We lost Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee whose focus was to resolve the issue of Kashmir.
‘Jammu Kashmir Study Centre’ which was established in many parts of the country educated citizens on the true situation of Jammu and Kashmir through conducting seminars competition to students. The centre has untiringly put in efforts to remove Article 370 & 35A & leading this campaign until its fulfilment for a decade now. A lot of traction on the subject of Article 370 and Article 35A was sought only after JKSC’s intervention in public discourses and the people were appraised about the happenings regularly.
I, as a Kashmiri Pandit, am overwhelmed with emotions. I know how happy each & every Kashmiri Pandit is today! The country very well knows what happened in the 90s in the valley and how the Pandits were ill treated and threatened. Every Nationalist in every nook and corner is rejoicing today. A sovereign Nation had to wait for 70 years for this day! Let us all celebrate this moment from Kashmir to Kanyakumari & say it out loud & clear #Bharat_Mata_Ki_Jai #VandeMataram.
Dileep Kachroo.
